We are exceptionally proud to have worked with some of the leading digital marketing companies from around the globe over the last 15 years. During that time we have faced numerous challenges when it comes to equal-representation with our live content. Struggles not limited to, but including; companies submitting the same speakers year on year, panels submitted with an unbalanced gender ratio and with non-progressive subject areas, and reluctance from nervous or inexperienced presenters in putting themselves forward, in spite of the fact that they have great insights to share.
We feel that as an industry, we are all responsible for progressive change. Therefore, in addition to our own efforts, we want to reach out to ask you to help us improve the diversity and inclusion at, not just our own, but all industry events.
As an event organiser, our goal is to be genuinely inclusive by seeking active participation by all individuals regardless of their gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, industry experience, physical or mental disability, age, education or religion.
We are proud to be a founding partner of the Digital Disruptors initiative, providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to investigate digital and empower them to think dynamically about the opportunities it brings to our everyday lives, to be disruptive and present their ideas at the final presented each year at PI LIVE in London.
We’ve also supported wider industry initiatives including Turn The Talk and have programmed rapid-fire slots for new speakers to have their say.
We understand that there is nothing worse than perfunctory ‘box-ticking’ and that the steps that we are taking are to improve our events by enabling them to be representative of the whole performance marketing industry.
The conversation around diversity is constantly changing and evolving, and in order for us to continue being your industry event, we need your help!
We want to make sure that we are getting it right. If you are unhappy with something eg. a piece of terminology or another aspect of our event we would love to hear your thoughts to enable us to facilitate change.
All the best,
Jo & Kate

“Global speaker diversity is a huge topic for conference organisers and it was really encouraging to see PI LIVE support efforts to tackle this issue with a session dedicated to supporting new talent. In featuring five new speakers our rapid fire case study slot is one such approach as part of the broader push to increase the variety of voices we hear from.” – Kevin Edwards, Global Client Strategy Director, Awin
“It’s great to see that PI LIVE are looking to put the spotlight on a range of industry role models at this year’s event and are committing to create a diverse range of speakers and content.” – Sophie Parry-Billings, Senior Marketing Manager, EMEA, Acceleration Partners
“PI LIVE represents the full spectrum of businesses and individuals involved in the Performance industry. Having been to PI LIVE for a number of years it’s encouraging to see the team behind the conference so engaged and serious to make changes this year.” – Anjulie Blunden, Managing Partner, Connected Path
